YOOL provides essential support to internally displaced persons (IDPs) and vulnerable populations in Somalia affected by climate issues such as drought, flooding, and conflicts. Since its founding in 2010, YOOL has implemented various projects to improve living conditions and well-being for those affected by conflict and displacement.
A key initiative is providing necessities such as food, clean water, and medical aid. These efforts alleviate immediate suffering for displaced individuals and families, ensuring their survival another critical component is establishing and maintaining shelters.
Recognizing the importance of safe housing for IDP dignity and safety, YOOL constructs and rehabilitates shelters in IDP camps. These shelters provide a secure and stable environment for displaced families, allowing them to rebuild their lives with a sense of security.
YOOL also collaborates with local and international partners to enhance the sustainability and effectiveness of its shelter programs. By focusing on immediate aid and sustainable development, YOOL ensures its projects address urgent needs and pave the way for long-term recovery and stability for Somalia’s displaced and vulnerable populations.
